I grew up in La Vernia, TX, where I met my wife Malorie Westerholm Scaramozi. We have a son named Dax who was born in July 2013 and a daughter named Adalyn who was born in August 2015. Our kids have been the biggest blessings in our lives and we are grateful for them every day.
At a young age, I suffered a disc injury in my low back while lifting weights and experienced chiropractic care for the first time. I noticed improvement shortly after beginning care and was able to make a full recovery without having any unnecessary surgeries or negative side effects from prescription medication. After my injury healed, I began noticing how much better I felt overall when I was adjusted routinely. I was sleeping better, had more energy, and not getting sick with colds and flu as often. I realized then there was WAY more to chiropractic care than just helping relieve neck and back pain. I understood what it could actually do for your overall health and wellbeing. I knew I had to become a chiropractor so that I could help others regain their health and improve their quality of life.
I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science Degree from Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Texas in 2009. Following my bachelor’s degree, I was accepted to Parker University, located in Dallas, Texas. As a chiropractic student, I extended my studies by interning at the Veteran’s hospital in Dallas, TX. Here I was able to strengthen my skills while developing a better understanding for the needs of a diverse group of patients and their individual needs. I graduated and received my degree to become a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) in 2012 and soon began working as an associate chiropractor in the Dallas area. After spending six years going to school and working in North Texas, it was time for my family and I to be closer to family and friends and open up our very own practice.
I am board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners. I regularly attend continuing education courses that focus on the latest research and information about chiropractic care and overall health and wellness so that I can deliver the very best to my patients.
I have attended numerous chiropractic conferences in efforts to improve my ability to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal injuries with the newest and most effective adjusting techniques. I have also attended many seminars to learn proper athletic taping techniques and soft tissue manipulation therapies. These techniques are used for the treatment of muscular, fascial, and ligamentous injuries that can occur with joint and bone injuries. When these different techniques are used appropriately together in a systemic approach, all aspects of the injury/condition are treated to ensure the proper healing and decrease the potential for the symptoms to return.
My experiences throughout my career have given me a great opportunity to learn how to care for a wide variety of ailments from which my patients may suffer. My mission is to restore health through natural chiropractic care, allowing my patients to live their lives to the fullest. My passion for chiropractic and the well being of others led me and my family to this lovely community of Seguin. I could not be more excited to be a part of this community and I enjoy providing safe and natural health and wellbeing to the people of Seguin and its surrounding areas.
